My family and I are going on vacation for two weeks to Texas and we were worried about taking Zander on the road. So we are boarding him in his regular suite at the spa. We even book him the spa grooming package. It includes a blueberry facial, pedicure, bath and brush,and a massage. It leaves him smelling good for almost a month! He always comes back relaxed and refreshed. This way we both get a vacation!

Board!

This weekend my family and I are going to Disneyland and staying over night, so we're going to board Zander. We take him to a really nice place called the Renaissance Pet Resort and Spa. There they play with him three times a day and take him potty every hour. So this way it's a vacation for both of us!

Here's Zander on His Tile

Hey y'all! I can't believe that it has been over two months since I last posted! Zander is doing great. He just looks like a big old golden teddy bear. He will be one year old on January first. It's hard to believe that we have had him for almost a year. He has become my best friend. Zander follows me wherever I go. His favorite place to lay is the tile entryway in front of the door. When we recently put in new flooring, we even had them extend the tile so that he had more room to lay down.

I can't believe it!

Man, I can't believe I haven't posted in over a month! Here's the news on Zander, he just turned seven months old and he weighs around sixty lbs. But he must be the sweetest dog ever! The other day Emma (who's 8) took his leash and her baby carriage and walked him all around the yard. He didn't pull her, bite her, or jump on her. What a good boy!

He's Broken!!!!

House broken that is! We went to the beach on Saturday with some friends so we put zander in his pen in the garage. It's a very nice pen. It is 8 Ft by 10 Ft. It contains 2 trays of fresh sod for him to potty on; a large soft bed; stuffed kongs; and one of those water bottles that hooks up to a bowl. Not to mention a fan so that he stays cool. When we came home 14.5 hours later the kongs were empty and he had not potted at all! Needless to say he peed like a race horse when we took him potty.

Groomers

On Saturday we took Zander to get groomed for the first time. I was a little nervous but he did great! They said that he was the best five month old they had ever groomed! You know how at petsmart there is that glass wall so you can watch your pet get groomed? Well the cashier said that he was getting a lot of attention from everyone. Then on our way out there was a family with two little girls who ran up to Zander and hugged and petted him. He loved it!!!!!!! We're taking him back again Saturday so he gets used to it.

It's been so long since I last posted. So here's an update on our favorite doodle. Zander is now 36 lbs. He is tall enough to reach the tops of all tables (gulp!). He has been very good. One of his favorite games is chew the fuzz off the tennis ball. He will sit there for hours just chewing on 1 tennis ball. But once he's done with it , it looks like something a cat coughed up! On Thursday he got his last set of shots incling rabies, so now we can walk him anywhere and not worry about germs. I know grandma is just dying to see him!

He also really likes to sit outside on the patio and chew on his kongs and monkey hatchet. He'll spend hours eating bugs too. For the record that is not a muzzle. It is a gentle leader that is head collar. It is just like a bridal for a horse. He obeys much better when he's wearing it. He can eat,drink,chew, and pant with it on.
